Mark Westin
Senior Producer, Writer

Mark Westin has spent more than two decades working in television as a writer, producer, and development executive.  Mark’s credits include channel launches, documentaries and magazine shows, live event coverage, and the creation of hours of news, entertainment and lifestyle programming.

As Vice President of Programming, Mark steered the launch of the first English-language television channel for the South Asian community in the United States, American Desi
Westin was also instrumental in the launch of Cablevision’s Metro Channel, building both a staff and structure that resulted in multiple New York Emmy Awards,

As Vice President of Production at Linda Ellerbee’s Lucky Duck Productions, Mark supervised a broad range of long-form and documentary productions for major networks and cable channels.

At MSNBC, Westin ran the primetime “Abrams Report,” created the ‘politics to pop’ panel show “Saturday Final with Lawrence O’Donnell,” and supervised former professional wrestler and Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura’s interview show.

Mark was also the Los Angeles point producer for Court TV’s coverage of the OJ Simpson Trial, responsible for all daily operations and primetime editorial content during the most-viewed trial in the channel’s history.

Other production credits include segments for Access Hollywood, and in-depth “Eye on America” segments for CBS News.

Outside of the television universe, Mark Westin is an accomplished composer with two film scores to his credit. Mark was born and raised in New York City and currently resides in Brooklyn.
